In any event, the fiscal year already promises to be big for Memphis, thanks to the production here this past fall of "Brian Banks," which marked a return to narrative feature filmmaking for director Tom Shadyac "Bruce Almighty," "Ace Ventura: Pet Detective" , a former comedy specialist who has made Memphis his adopted home.
