Three guys are on him but not bringing him down. My job cc when i can spellsteal spam to grab hots and cs any heals or buffs. There is nothing as cathartic as taking the talent the steals everything, then just bullying a druid for the entire match. Basically I interrupt everything I hear.
I use a weak area for spells to steal. Works great on bubbles and shields. The brain freeze proc can also be dispelled, but not the fingers of frost procs. Pain suppression arguably takes care of the priest-bane in group pvp: the assist train.
You can combine this bad boy with any combination of fear, shield, or grenade to survive an otherwise hopeless situation. While it is currently still dispellable, in my horde experience it VERY rarely actually gets taken off. With near-perfect timing maybe a little luck or lag , it is possible to spell-steal Ice Block, Divine Shield, ect.

Some other fun things I've stolen is a Fire shield buff from the astromages in Mechanar that deals fire damage to everything hostile around you. Overall this spell kinda eats up your mana, but it's nice in the right situations and can save your priest a lot of mana, or the party a lot of time.
Although I was very disapointed when I found out I can't steal shadowform from priests, what a bummer. It's very nice for pvp because of the fact you can steal so many spells that can either seriously gimp an enemy or help you out. Having trouble downing that large tauren warrior with his own healer? Silly undead mage cast fire ward on himself and you were just about to instant pyroblast him? No fear! Spellsteal and cast away. But it seems to have turned into a pissing contest about who can beat up who. Something I do know for a fact is that Scorpella is wrong about not being able to steal an armor spell because of the "one at a time rule". I've had my Molted Armor up and still stolen Ice Armor from another mage.
So that rule doesn't apply and we can take your fel armor without losing our own armor spell. I don't do a lot of PVPing, so my main focus is the best way of using this in instances. Are there any other tips from mages who have practiced with this spell? I know it can be a powerful tool but I think we need some advice on it. Would one of the Mage's spells be given to the warrior? Or, nothing? So basically, it acts as if the Warrior cast Spellsteal. Moroes, depending on who he has with him, gets a buff which increases his damage by about loved stealing it to take some pressure off the tank and OT. Comment by Thottbot 70 mage here. In a nutshell this spell is for players who can think fast and make quick decisions in when to use it. In the heat of pvp combat your enemy is'nt going to give you time to think if you wanna steal his buff or not.
People compare blink to this in mana saying Blink costs alot to cast but mages don't complain.
