The game's true ending culminates in a climactic battle between Kazuya and Heihachi, ultimately leading to Kazuya's final victory. Taking his father to very same cliff he was tossed off in his childhood, Kazuya exacts revenge by dropping his father down the cliff. A large scale martial arts tournament is being held on the world stage. This tournament was eventually called "The King of Iron Fist Tournament" because only those with the strongest iron fist or "Tekken" stand at the top.
Along with rumors that it was sponsored by a huge conglomerate, it was also reported that everyone had a surprisingly huge winning prize, and all kinds of fighters were invited to participate. It is reported that the Mishima Zaibatsu, a large conglomerate, is hosting the tournament, and that the prize money is surprisingly large, enticing many different fighters. Eight fighters have survived the preliminary death matches across the globe.
However, not every fighter seeks the title of strongest WIth so many thoughts swirling around, the mysterious "King of Iron Fist Tournament" is about to reach it's climax, but who among these fighters is the strongest? And just what is the true purpose of this tournament?! Gameplay Kazuya vs Michelle. Tekken was one of the earliest 3D animated fighting games, applying many of the concepts found in Virtua Fighter by Sega.
As with Virtua Fighter 2 released around the same time, Tekken was also among the very first 3D animated console video games running at 60 frames per second except the PAL European release. As with many fighting games, players choose a character from a lineup and engage in hand-to-hand combat with an opponent.
Tekken differs from other hand-to-hand fighting games in some ways. Traditional fighting games are usually played with buttons which correspond to the strength of the attack, such as a strong punch or weak kick. Tekken , however, dedicates a button to each limb of the fighter, making learning special attacks more of an intuitive process. Within weeks, strange disappearances occur throughout the world. Accepting her destiny, she tells Jin everything that she knows of their haunted past to prepare him for the fateful day that she now feels is imminent. She tells Jin to go to his grandfather, Heihachi Mishima if anything should befall her. Her intuition proves right on a cold and stormy night. Ogre comes to the mountains, bringing a chilling, swirling wind. Jun instructs Jin to run away.
But against his mother's pleas, Jin opts to face Ogre and is knocked unconscious. When Jin awakens, the house and everything around it is burned to the ground. Jin searches frantically for his mother, but she is nowhere to be found. Honoring her instructions, Jin goes to Heihachi and begs to be trained in order to exact revenge.
Heihachi, hearing Jin's tale, is convinced that Ogre is after the souls of powerful fighters. Two years ago, Heihachi failed to capture Ogre. Not willing to give up, Heihachi ordered his researchers to collect blood samples, skin tissue, and hoof fragments left behind by Ogre or known as True Ogre in its true manifestation in order to conduct genetic experiments.
However, the research was unsuccessful. Heihachi learned that his own genome lacked the Devil Gene, but he knew someone who had it Jin Kazama. As his life slipped away, Jin transformed into a Devil. Upon his transformation, he struck down Heihachi and took flight.
Heihachi searched for Jin to no avail. However, Heihachi discovered a photograph during his investigation that stirred his curiosity. The year-old photograph was an image of a burnt corpse covered with laceration wounds.
Convinced that the picture was of Kazuya, his own son whom he threw into a volcano 20 years ago, Heihachi diverted all his resources into a search for the body. This search eventually led Heihachi to G Corporation , a cutting-edge biotech firm making unprecedented advances in the field of biogenetics research.
Heihachi discovered that G Corporation found the corpse and extracted and analyzed its genetic data. In fact, Heihachi learned that the company was in the midst of creating a new life form by using the data.
Friday, 25 December. The bottom floors of the building were obliterated, and the remaining data storage facility containing file servers was airlifted by a group of heavy-duty helicopters. As Heihachi observed from his helicopter, he soon realized that unlike the Nepal facility, the operations in Nebraska were not going according to plan.
A silhouette of a large figure slowly emerged from the room When Heihachi could see clearly enough, he instantly recognized the large figure as Kazuya.
After his resurrection, Kazuya offered his body as research material to determine the true nature of the Devil that resided within him. Kazuya theorized that if he unified his body with the Devil, he would be able to truly harness its powers.
Once his anger subsided, Heihachi focused his mind and decided on a plan. An evil smile crept upon his lips. The champion who manages to defeat Heihachi at the end of the Tournament would inherit the Mishima Zaibatsu. Well aware that the tournament is just a trap designed to lure him out, Kazuya nevertheless enters - it is his chance to defeat Heihachi.
Jin quickly beats his father. The eldest Mishima, Heihachi, enters Hon-Maru to find his son defeated and unconscious. Heihachi and Jin begin battling. During the battle, Jin begins to manifest the Devil he inherited from his father, Kazuya. Just as it appears that Jin will kill Heihachi, Jin suddenly gains control of his body and flies away. Suddenly, a bunch of "JACK" robots interrupts the battle. Both Kazuya and Heihachi are surprised at the attack, and begin battling as a team against the invasion.
During the battle, however, Kazuya betrays his father, throwing him into the path of the army of robots, and escapes. Seconds later Heihachi looks up, a robot explodes, destroying Hon-Maru. Of course, that didn't go the way most people expect. Just like her sister, she specializes in a mixture of Aikido and Koppojutsu.
However, she focuses more on her father's Koppojutsu. Paul Phoenix is an overconfident and high-spirited character who aims to be the strongest fighter in the universe.
Although this leads to the character being incredibly hot-tempered and having quite the ego. This means that his reasons for joining the tournaments have always been the same. When it comes to his fighting style, he is incredibly aggressive and brute forces away through the opponent. He utilizes a style that combines Judo, Karate and some aspects of Bajiquan. Wang Jinrei is one of the oldest fighters in the entire series and is a close friend of Heihachi Mishima's father, Jinpachi. Appearing in Tekken 1, 2, 5 and 6 , he joins the first two tournaments in order to defeat the Mishima bloodline.
Heihachi in the first game and later Kazuya in the second game. The character utilizes the style of Xin Yi Liu He Quan which utilizes a variety of Kung Fu techniques that can undermine the defenses of his opponent. Yoshimitsu is one of the ninja characters in the Tekken franchise who has appeared in every single entry to date.
As the leader of the Manji clan, he joined the first two Tekken's for different reasons. During the first game, he joined in order to act as a front for the clan to steal the tournament funds.
All the while giving Ganryu's corrupt money to the poor. During the second game, he joins in order to rescue Bosconovitch. His fighting style utilizes Ninjitsu while adding in Kenjutsu and Battoujutsu. Angel is one of the more unique fighters and an important character within Tekken 2. Acting as a contrast to Devil or Kazuya Mishima, her role in the game was to set Kazuya Mishima free from his evil.
Although considering what has happened to him later in the franchise, it is clear that she has failed. Her appearance seems to stem from Jun Kazama who later becomes the mother of Jin Kazama. Her fighting style is Mishima Style Karate that is combined with supernatural powers. Baek Doo San was a character that made his first appearance during Tekken 2.
Although he made a cameo in Tekken 3 , he returns as a playable character during Tekken 5 and 6. He joined the second King Of Fighters tournament when he was blackmailed. The unknown sender warning him that he would reveal the fact that he killed his father if he didn't attack Marshall Law's dojo. Although he was dealing with the guilt of killing his father, he has since made peace with it and went on to train Hwoarang in Taekwondo. Speaking of Taekwondo, he utilizes that as his fighting style, although it is far more balanced and clunkier than his student.
Bruce Irvin was a character that appeared during Tekken 2 and was raised in rough neighborhoods. Fighting in order to survive, he eventually competed in underground competitions and eventually became a heavyweight champion in professional matches. One day he was told to rig a match in Thailand, however, his pride didn't allow it and thus he won the fight through manslaughter.
Running away from murder and getting a hit out by a contract killer, he was eventually caught in a plane crash. Giving him amnesia and being found by Kazuya Mishima. The character employs the fighting style of Kickboxing, although he specifically focuses on Muay Thai style. He primarily uses the style as a counter-hitter, with strong pokes that allow him solid offense and defense.
Jun Kazama is the mother of Jin Kazama and has only appeared during the events of Tekken 2. Originally she was a wildlife surveillance officer who joined the tournament after finding out that Kazuya Mishima was illegally smuggling animals. Due to her psychic abilities, she also sensed Kazuya's devil gene and seeks out to stop that too.
Although by the end of Tekken 2 , it seems like she and Kazuya had a deeper connection and she ended up being pregnant with his child. Raising Jin Kazama alone in the mountains, her fate is currently unknown as Jin initially thought that she died from Ogre.
Her fighting style is the Kazama Style Martial Arts which focused on defensive play and technical mix-ups.
